While visiting the petting zoo at the fairgrounds, I came upon this majestic macaw perched above the enclosure that contained baby lambs and goat kids. I instantly fell in love with the bold tropical colors and the regal standing of this bird. Since it was so adept at posing, I took dozens of reference photos from every angle. I couldn’t wait to draw every one of those feathers!
