Set of eight notecards, 4”x5” with envelopes

In Methuen, Massachusetts there is the Methuen Memorial Music Hall. Originally named Searles Organ Hall, was built in 1909 by local millionaire, Edward Francis Searles to house "The Great Organ", a very large pipe organ that had been built for the Boston Music Hall. Searles brought in master craftsmen to work on the building. Flanking the organ are four massive hand carved wooden panels. Each one is dedicated to a famous composer; Hayden, Handel, Palestrina and Orlando Lasso. I was so enamored with these works of art, I had to replicate them in colored pencil.
