Mum's Shore Creation - Colored Pencil Fine Art Original
7”x14” colored pencil original, framed.
I may be artistic, but my Mum is very crafty - something I sadly, did not inherit. She is always making something clever for her house or yard out of something she found. I truly have no idea how she comes up with her ideas. Visiting her at her farmhouse in Maine, I spotted this cool piece of driftwood hanging in her dining room. She had found it down on the shore of the river and proceeded to envision it as a decoration. First she took an old dinner knife, removed the blade and slowly scraped out all the cement that anchored it in the handle. Once cleared, it became the perfect vase for these tiny blue blossoms.
