Peacock Pansy - Colored Pencil Fine Art Original
20”x16” colored pencil original, framed.
I got the inspiration to draw this distinctive butterfly while visiting an indoor botanical garden. I was drawn to both the smooth and feathery textures of its wings. Native to South Asia, they derive their name from the distinctive ‘peacock’ eyespots found all over their wings. When it is sunny out, they like to perch, spread their wings wide and sunbathe.
